Ruthie support

A little help
with your day.

Joining the beta, finding your feet, and a few good questions.

Start with an invitation.

Join the beta list, then confirm your address using the email we send. We’ll get in touch when there’s a testing opportunity that fits.

Once you’re invited

  1. Sign in with your email and the code sent to your inbox.
  2. Add something to today. Leave it untimed, or give it a time when that helps.
  3. Keep up to three important things Top of Mind, and use the Journal below your agenda to write about the day.

Good questions.

What is Ruthie?

Ruthie is a shared record for you and your assistant. Keep your daily plans and writing together on your iPhone, and let a connected assistant help with the same agenda. You can always open the app to see and change your day directly.

Do I need an AI assistant?

No. You can plan, rearrange, complete things, and write in Ruthie on your own. Ruthie for Codex adds a way to work on your agenda with your assistant. Ruthie does not include a built-in AI chat.

What can Ruthie for Codex do?

The plugin can read your planning overview, add things, move or schedule them, mark them complete, and help with Top of Mind. It can also help you review unfinished work. You choose what to carry into today and which things to keep Top of Mind.

Codex is the first assistant connection. Setup details come with your testing invitation. The plugin works with your plans; it does not read or write your Journal.

What happens when I change something my assistant added?

Change it directly in Ruthie. Your assistant works with that same record and sees your correction the next time it reads it. If an assistant tries to edit an older version, Ruthie asks it to read the updated record before making the change.

What is Top of Mind?

A small place to hold up to three unfinished things you want to keep in view. They stay on their original days or in their existing place. Choosing “Let go” removes something from Top of Mind without completing or moving it.

What happens to unfinished work?

Ruthie offers earlier unfinished, untimed plans for review. Choose what comes into today and what stays behind. Moving something into today keeps the original item, so you do not end up with another copy.

Does Ruthie connect to Apple Calendar or Reminders?

Those connections are not part of the first version. Ruthie currently keeps its own agenda.

Why do I need an account?

Your account connects you to your Ruthie record, so the app and your connected assistant can work with the same information. Your record is stored online.

Which devices can I use, and what does Ruthie cost?

We are starting with iPhone and the Ruthie plugin for Codex. Joining the beta list is free and does not commit you to a purchase. Your invitation will include the device requirements and setup details for that test.

What if my sign-in code does not arrive?

Check that you entered the intended email address, then check your spam or junk folder. Never share your sign-in code with support or your assistant.

A useful bug report

Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Ruthie version, and what you were doing when the problem happened. Please leave out sign-in codes and private Journal or agenda content.

Your signup & data.

Joining the beta list does not create a Ruthie app account. The link in your confirmation email lets you leave the list and remove your active signup record. Keep that email so you can return to it.
